Another day in paradise…
Not a good sleep again. Hopefully, I will find a better position tonight.
Breakfast was at 7:30am this morning, and it caught me out! I was going to have breakfast in my chair, but I had not even started to get up. I had breakfast, and then zimmered to the loo. I then opened the curtains, put the fan on and sat in the chair for a while and read some more. After about 30 minutes, I got back into bed and read my emails. Jamo is back on form, as I had 7 funny emails from him.
Whilst I was checking my emails, International SOS called and were confirming details about my discharge. They are still waiting to hear back from the doctors here about my discharge date. I have not seen any doctors this morning, so I have not been able to ask.
In my semi-private room, which has been mine since the first Tuesday I was here, the nurses came in and said that there was a new admission! The cheek of it! It is a young boy who has a fever, so they are pumping him full of antibiotics. From the sounds of the parents, they are English. I popped my head round the curtain, and gave them the TV remote control, as I do not watch the TV at all. So, I am now back in the chair using my laptop, as my chair has now moved to the other side of the bed.
Hopefully, the doctors will be round at some point today, so that I can ask them if I will be getting crutches, or if I will be taking the zimmer with me. To be honest, I would prefer the zimmer at the moment, as I have got no experience of crutches, so I might be a danger to myself and others with them.
You’ll be a whizz on crutches … can’t you remember how adept I was with them? (or is the inept?!
