Well, after a fairly good nights sleep, I was awake at 6:30am.  After doing some exercises, I got up at 7 and zimmered to the bathroom.  Still nice to not p**s in a bottle.  I had a shave, (last one here), and then went to the chair.  I caught them out today, as they brought breakfast at 7:40am, so I managed to have breakfast out of bed.  After eating my toast and jam, I read some more of “Sigh for a Merlin”.  Dad will like some of the chapter names.  One of which is – “A Tomtit in the garden”.

The GPs came in this morning, and had a chat.  It all seems likely that I will be discharged tomorrow.  A new American doctor was part of the group, and he was asking about how much pain medication I was taking.  He was surprised that I have not been on any pain medication since the surgery.  International SOS have asked the same question previously, and have also been surprised by the answer.  I do not know whether that is a good thing or not.  I think I should take it as a good thing.

I have just got back into bed, after being loose in the room for 2 hours.  I was 20 minutes in the bathroom, and then 1:40 sat in the chair.  Not painful at all, just a bit stiff in my knee.

Just waiting for the stitches to be removed now.  Hopefully, it will be soon.
