First Day at the Office

I was woken up at 5:20am by Dad shouting that it was 5:20am, and was I getting up. I shouted back, that, no, I was getting up at 5:30am. Of course, I did not get back to sleep, and the alarm went off at 5:30am.

I was up, showered, breakfasted and in the car at 6:20am. Perfect timing. Dad had left his phone in the house, so actual time of departure, (according to the clock in the Rav), was 6:22am. We made it to the office with no traffic, and I entered the building.

My computer was still there, it still worked, and I remembered my login. All bonuses. I went to get a coffee, and Tim carried my mug for me. He stopped short at cleaning it though.

At lunch, I sticked it over to the canteen, and got a cheese and onion pannini, plus a bag of Cheese and Onion crisps. It is not too far, but I probably did more sticking today than most of the previous days. During the day, more people commented on my hair then my leg. Paul asked if I would not cut my hair until the dye had grown out. I got some work to do, and got on with that, with some music.

Throughout the afternoon, the rain came in tremendous showers that lasted for 5 minutes, and then stopped. At 5:00pm, I went to look to see if Dad was outside, and it was torrential rain outside. Dad was running in through the door, and asked where the toilet was. I got my stuff together, and we waited for a few minutes, and then the rain eased a little, and we went to the car. It was strange weather. At the Longbridge island near Warwick, there had been very little rain, but at Mum and Dad’s, it was again torrential. They are less than 2 miles (3.2km) from each other.

I did not feel too tired, but then I feel asleep watching University Challenge. I went upstairs at 9:15pm, so that I had time to get myself sorted, (and this written), by a decent hour.

Day 2 tomorrow…
