I have added another of my weight charts to show the relative qualifying performances of the F1 drivers for tomorrows race. From the looks of the weights, Hamilton, Sutil and Raikkonen have all gone for the glory of Pole Position. While that might be good for Saturday, when you look at the weights of the other drivers, you can see that only these 3 will be on 2 stop strategies.

Here is one of my fantastic charts showing the grid positions and weights for todays Belgian GP.

Since my last posting, not much has happened.
Of importance to me is of course that Schumacher has been confirmed for Ferrari to replace Massa. Rumour has it that there is already a beach towel on the top step of the Valencia podium…
We did pretty poorly at the Kozi quiz. 4th place with 55 points.
The other big news today is that Schumacher is being evaluated to see if he is fit enough to replace Massa. I am hoping he is, and that he ruffles Kimi Raikkonens feathers a bit. Kimi is a driver that has never (to me at least) excelled in an under performing car. When it is good, he is good. When it is bad, he is worse.
I sticked it back from the Kozi to Mum and Dad’s. It was 0.26mile (0.42km), and did not take too long. My hands did not hurt more than normal, and my leg was fine. Roll on Monday 24th August.
After a couple of exciting laps at the start of the race, the Hungarian GP turned into the normal procession. The highlights being Alonso’s wheel coming off, and that was about it really. It was a good win for Hamilton, and shows that McLaren are getting to grips with the car. Brawn will need to pull something out soon to protect Button’s lead in the Championship, as Webber is now the danger man. Jaime Alguersuari did well, and finished his first race ahead of his teammate, and did not make any mistakes.
The qualifying for the GP was punctuated with a stark reminder as to how fragile the drivers really are. A piece of Ruben Barichello’s car fell off, and in a bizarre accident, it hit Fellipe Massa’s helmet.
Friday tomorrow, and this time it is the Hungarian GP. Usually, this is one of the more difficult circuits to pass on. We will have to see how the changes have improved this years cars…
I was back late from work as Alan needed to catch up on some hours due to a Dentist visit. I did not get back until just after 7:00pm. I did manage to get a 300m walk in though. This time, I went the other way round, which has a longer hill. My hands were not aching so much afterwards, so that means that I am getting used to it, or I am putting less weight on my hands, and therefore, more weight on my leg.
It was a bit of a disappointing race for English supporters. 18th for Hamilton was not the comeback that was promised yesterday, and 5th for Button was not so good either. However, for Webber, it was a fantastic day, and weekend! He has been plugging away for 8 years, threatening the top spot. I remember him coming 5th for Minardi in 2002 at the Australian GP in his first ever race.
Tyres seemed to be a problem for the Brawn team, and one can only hope that Hungary is much hotter than Germany, and they can get some heat in the tyres.
Jenny and Joe were out with Mum and Dad during the GP, and they came back later for some food. I also spoke to Alan. He is back and is going to give me a lift. However, he has had his hours reduced to 40 per week, so it looks like I will be doing the same. It does mean I get an extra 30 minutes in bed in the morning though.
My first Saturday since starting work, and I woke up at 6:30am. I checked the weather forecast, and it said it was raining. Not good, as Dad was moving the Ferguson 35 to the tractor shed at the field. A friend was going to bring his trailer over, and wasn’t going to do it in the rain.
