Summer BBQ

On the way home in torrential rain, I got a text from Gina saying that there was a BBQ at the field, and that Mum was picking me up at 6pm. I replied that it was raining abit, and she replied that it wasn’t at the field.

I got back to Warwick, and it was still raining. Mum was at the house waiting. So, I went upstairs, got changed, and went down to the car. As we got out of Warwick, the rain eased, and by the time we got to the field, it had stopped. Mum took me into the woodland part to show me a willow tree that had been blown down by the wind. The farmer who owns the field has said he will remove it after he has dealt with his crop. Here are some pictures:-

Gina, Hugh, Nial and Archie (my cousin Sue’s two boys) had been there during the day along with Dad. The BBQ was good. Plenty of burgers and sausages to go round. There were also kebabs on sticks, and steaks as well! Hugh did some of the cooking, and I made sure that he tried the food first before I did. It did rain a little, but because of the gazebo, it was not really a problem. After the food, the boys showed methe den that they made. It was in one of the hedges, and was quite a struggle for me to see. It did not look too bad though.

Gina and the boys are staying at the field tonight. Nial and Archie are camping in tents, and Hugh is doing extreme camping, and sleeping in the caravan with his mum. Here is a picture showing the area where they are camping:-
