First Saturday

My first Saturday since starting work, and I woke up at 6:30am. I checked the weather forecast, and it said it was raining. Not good, as Dad was moving the Ferguson 35 to the tractor shed at the field. A friend was going to bring his trailer over, and wasn’t going to do it in the rain.

Mike arrived with the trailer, and they moved the tractor without issue. It rained all the time. As soon as Dad got back, the rain stopped.

The qualifying went well, with Hamilton doing much better than the last few races. It was an exciting Q2 with rain, then no rain. Barichello was on the right tyres at the right time, and was 4 seconds a lap faster. Q3 was good, and Webber got his first F1 pole position. Well deserved, and it has been brewing for a few races.

Tomorrows race should be good, with rain forecast and a Force India car in the mix as well.

Gina, Danny and Hugh came round, and we had a meal, and a lot of discussion about rivers in Warwickshire. Danny was a “spotter” at the disc golf british open today, and he said about discs going into the river at the disc golf course. Hugh suggested canoeing from the Saxon Mill to the disc golf course collecting discs for re-sale…
