A very un-productive day. I was up at 9:00am, and had breakfast. Mum was going out today, haircut first and then shopping with Yvonne in Banbury. Dad was going to the field to put the roof on the tractor garage with Terry. The tin man had dropped off the roofing materials on Tuesday, so everything is all ready to go.
All I have done is eat my lunch, which was in a cool bag on the table for me. I skyped Ma Yan, and as she was doing some exercises, I thought I would do some as well. Just moving my leg around and generally moving about. She then went for a run around the complex.

Got up early this morning to get to the hospital on time. We left home at 8:45am, and Dad dropped Mum and I off at 8:55am. My appointment was for 9:05am, so no problems. Went to the Fracture Clinic Reception desk, and my name was ticked off a list. Good stuff. We went through into the waiting room, and I was surprised to see quite a few people already there.

Up and showered this morning, and then sticked it downstairs for 8:15am.
I am preparing for tomorrows jaunt to the hospital. Yesterday afternoon, I was called with an appointment to be at the “Fracture Clinic” at 9:05am on Wednesday. I am not 100% sure what they are going to do, but, they might give me an indication as to how long I will need for recovery.

I woke up late this morning, and got up late as well. I thought Mum and Dad hadn’t got up, so I was buggered if I was going to get up. Turns out, they were already up…
I went for a shower this morning. First one in 3 weeks! The last one I had was just before the fall, so I was probably overdue one. Took a bit of messing about with the zimmer to get it into the right place to get in the shower, but I managed it. Mum and Dad have a seperate shower, so that makes it a million times easier than trying to get in a bath. There is only a small step to get into it, and the floor is not slippy at all.

I woke up this morning fairly early. Not quite as early as yesterday. I looked at the internet, and the blog stats. Plenty of graphs there to look at. I got up around 9am, and had a shave. I used Dad’s shaving foam, as mine ran out in Shanghai.
I went downstairs using my crutches rather than arseing it. Much easier than I thought, and quicker as well. Once downstairs, I had 2 Weetabix™ with milk but no sugar, and a glass of orange juice. I have said it before, my body is now a temple.

This afternoon was relaxing. Mum and Dad left for the field just after 3pm, and I was alone in the house. I sticked to the toilet, and marvelled at the joy of not using a bedpan. Gina turned up at around 4:30pm, and I showed her my X-rays. It seems I am an X-ray attention whore. I would probably show the postman if I could get to the door quick enough…
Mum and Dad came back at 5pm, and Gina went off for a meal with Danny. The rain eased off a bit in the evening, and the roofs were drying out. Steak and chips for tea tonight, and then Mum and Dad watched a DVD of a BBC TV programme called “Outnumbered”. Not bad really. I am feeling a bit tired after yesterday’s so I won’t be late to bed tonight.
Woke up early this morning. I still haven’t found the most comfortable sleeping position yet. However, I did roll onto my left side, and it was not too painful. Not real pain, but just pulling and stretching at the muscles. If I continue to do that, it should ease off more and more. I read for a while, and have nearly finished “Sigh for a Merlin”, and then I wrote a word document with yesterdays blog, while it was still fairly fresh in my mind. I managed to nip into the bathroom when Mum got a phone call, and get myself washed up for the day.

I woke up at 4:40am. Got ready, and was waiting for the flight nurse (Nurse Jane) at 5:30am. Ma Yan went onto the balcony, and looked for the car. It was in front of building B. The Diamond Court security turned up, and a few seconds later Nurse Jane called to confirm the room number. She was at A1307, so I told her to come to A1105. She arrived, and then gave me a quick check over of blood pressure, O2 saturation, heart rate. All were normal. She then gave me an injection to help prevent DVT whilst on the plane. I asked her to tell me when she was going to do it, but she had already jabbed me and finished!

Ma Yan arrived back with my Jeans and walking boots just after 8am. I had to sign some documents for my discharge, and got my X-Rays and all the blood test results. I waited for a while, and then put on my clothes. It felt very strange to be wearing proper clothing, but in a good way. I then sat on the sofa with my rucksack ready to go. I had to sign some more papers detailing the cost of the stay in hospital. Total cost is 188,534.67 RMB, so around £18000!

Woke up early this morning.
Ma Yan went to Diamond Court to pick up some clothes for me at 6:30am. They called me to confirm that I agreed to her being allowed in the room. They then sent an escort with her, so I had to make a call to say that I would be responsible, and to leave her alone. That did not work, so Ma Yan spoke to the front desk and it was sorted.
I took the opportunity to zimmer to the bathroom, I then opened the curtains, and got back into bed. I feel I will be doing alot of moving around today, so I will take my rest when I can. Breakfast in bed for the last time.
The plan is for discharge at 10am. We shall see how that goes.
