Hamilton…

July 26th, 2009 No comments

After a couple of exciting laps at the start of the race, the Hungarian GP turned into the normal procession. The highlights being Alonso’s wheel coming off, and that was about it really. It was a good win for Hamilton, and shows that McLaren are getting to grips with the car. Brawn will need to pull something out soon to protect Button’s lead in the Championship, as Webber is now the danger man. Jaime Alguersuari did well, and finished his first race ahead of his teammate, and did not make any mistakes.

Good Luck Massa

July 25th, 2009 No comments

The qualifying for the GP was punctuated with a stark reminder as to how fragile the drivers really are. A piece of Ruben Barichello’s car fell off, and in a bizarre accident, it hit Fellipe Massa’s helmet.

Windows 7

July 24th, 2009 No comments

I got some memory for my laptop this week, and downloaded the Release Candidate for Windows 7. I installed the memory this afternoon, and it all works well. Except that 32 bit versions of OSes cannot address the full 4GB. It has to address memory for the graphics card out of 4GB, as that is the 32bit limit. The version of Windows 7 I have downloaded is the 64bit version. That can address 4GB with no problem.

Another GP is almost upon us

July 23rd, 2009 No comments

Friday tomorrow, and this time it is the Hungarian GP. Usually, this is one of the more difficult circuits to pass on. We will have to see how the changes have improved this years cars…

I was back late from work as Alan needed to catch up on some hours due to a Dentist visit. I did not get back until just after 7:00pm. I did manage to get a 300m walk in though. This time, I went the other way round, which has a longer hill. My hands were not aching so much afterwards, so that means that I am getting used to it, or I am putting less weight on my hands, and therefore, more weight on my leg.

We are the Champions!!

July 22nd, 2009 No comments

Well, after a long time, we finally won the Kozi bar quiz. We beat the “Shiraz Sisters” by 2 points. They had brought in 2 extra people to be on their team. We did not win the Snowball of £140. That was decided by a game of Bingo. We did however, win £41 between 5 of us (Gina, Danny, Neil, Brian and myself). Plus we won a round of drinks. Not bad for a £1 entry fee per person. Of course, we will now have to win a few more times to show that it was not just a flash in the pan…

On the way home in torrential rain, I got a text from Gina saying that there was a BBQ at the field, and that Mum was picking me up at 6pm. I replied that it was raining abit, and she replied that it wasn’t at the field.

Not too late up this morning. Breakfast, sudoku, exercises as per normal. I sat and checked the internet (it is still there), and sorted out some paperwork.

The Apartment Revisited

July 18th, 2009 1 comment

I went to my apartment today. Dad dropped me off, and I climbed the 3 flights of stairs to the door. I know that my recovery is going well as I did not feel too bad when I reached the top. I think my sticking skills are much better now as well, as it has been 5 weeks since I last went there.

40th Birthday!! (Danny, not me)

July 17th, 2009 No comments

After doing a good 4 hours at work, I was fairly tired… Danny popped in on his way home from his morning / early afternoons sporting events (disc golf, adventure golf, boule(?) and pool). He thanked everyone for their presents and cards, and then he went back home to change, and Mum and Dad went to Sainsburys.

Fracture Clinic

July 16th, 2009 No comments

I did not go to work today, as I was going to the hospital. My check in time was 1:55pm, but Mum and Dad were busy this morning at the field, so I did not want them to come and fetch me from work.
